Through the "Coffee & Biodiversity Conservation" initiative, JAWI integrates commodity production with ecosystem preservation in Kemuning Forest. The primary challenge of this program is ensuring that conservation practices do not compromise productivity, but rather align with rigorous market quality standards.
Under the SustainaBEANS program, we foster creative economic development with minimal environmental impact. To date, we have conducted participatory studies on the impacts of agricultural chemicals, provided training in organic fertilizer production, and established community demonstration plots to prove that sustainable farming can enhance economic resilience while safeguarding biodiversity.
